Common Functions

The functions described in this section work just the same in simple, basic and advanced bin warehouse.

Identification

The Identification function displays information about the loaded items - their location, quantity, used tracking numbers, or other data.

You can read a barcode from item cross-references, an item number, Lot number or a serial number. The function shows only items on the location the user has currently set in the MT Reader. The quantity displayed reflects the expected quantities too, so the displayed quantity may not reflect the physical amount in the warehouse.

After confirmation, the contents of the bin are displayed.

Quantities in other locations can be viewed using the Other Locations action, available in the menu.

Bin content

The function displays the contents of the selected bin. The quantities displayed represent the physical amount in stock.

Change quality status

The function is used to change the quality status of a serial number or a Lot.

After starting the function, you will be asked to enter or load the code of the item you want to change.

After the code is loaded, the corresponding item is displayed. If given Lot number belongs to more items, select the item you want to process.

After selecting the item a confirmation is displayed.

Press to confirm the found item. Press to cancel the Quality change process and return to the main menu.

After confirmation, select a new quality state.

After confirmation the quality status will change.

Relabel

The function is used to change the item Serial number or Lot number of a whole Lot.

If you want to relabel only part of the Lot, use the Unpack Unit function. It cannot be relabeled to a Lot or serial number that already exists, even though the amount in stock is 0.

After launching the function, enter the tracking number you want to change.

If one batch number refers to more than one item, select what item you want to relabel.

After selecting the required goods for relabeling, a summary will be displayed.

After confirming the summary, enter the number of the new batch.

After confirmation, relabeling will take place.

Unpack Unit

The function is used to divide a Lot into several Lots.

After launching the function, you will be asked to enter the tracking code.

If one batch number refers to more than one item, select what item you want to unpack.

If the selected item is more than one bin, choose which bin you want to take the items from.

Confirm the summary.

After confirmation, a window will appear where you can enter a new Lot number and quantity.

If you want to divide the Lot into two or more new Lots, enter the separated amount and Lot number. The input window is displayed repeatedly until all target batches have been processed or the cross key has been pressed.

If you unpack the entire quantity of the source Lot into a new Lot, you will de facto relabel the Lot.

If the item is tracked with both serial and Lot number, you will need to select the serial numbers you want to get split before choosing new Lot number.

After entering all required new batches, you return to the list of entered Lots.

Loaded rows can be deleted by holding the finger on the row and selecting Remove action.

If the quantity of the new Lot is lower than the original quantity, the remaining quantity will remain in the original Lot.

Merge units

The function is used for merging Lots.

It is also possible to merge items that have tracking of expiration date or warranty date set. Merged items must have the same expiration date or warranty date.

You can also set:

  • Merge only batches with the same vendor Batch Number: Check the Identical supply batch when merging checkbox in the Mobile terminal settings.

  • Merge batches with the same Status on the Number Information Card batch: In Mobile terminal settings, check the checkbox Matched batch status match.

If one Lot is in multiple bins, then use the Move function to gather this one Lot / unit of measure into one bin.

Merge procedure

Enter the first Lot to merge and the quantity.

Enter the second Lot to merge and the quantity.

Choose, if you want to merge the Lots into new Lot Number, or into an existing one.

If you select "No" and therefore want to merge the batches into the existing batch, you will see a list of all Lot numbers for the given item. You can either select or scan the target Lot No. here.

If the Lots are merged into a newly created Lot Number, enter a new Lot number and select a target bin.
