Overview¶
The Navertica Product Platform Management application extends the standard product data management capabilities by enabling the enrichment of selected entities with additional information, primarily for presentation in external systems.
Basic Information¶
The Navertica Product Platform Management application adds advanced product data management capabilities for external presentation purposes. The goal of the application is to enable the definition of so-called product platforms, which are used to identify individual distribution channels for selected products. For each platform, it is then possible to control how products are processed and presented.

1) Product Platform Management
Within the context of this application, a product platform represents a channel for which extended information is intended. This may include an e-shop, product catalog, retail store, or any external system that consumes product data.
The Navertica Product Platform Management module allows configuration of rules for individual platforms, including how items are created, what content they contain, and how they are used within selected documents in the system.
2) Extended Product Information Management (PIM)
The module provides the ability to enrich standard product data, in particular by enabling:
- assignment of products to platforms
- definition of various types of supplementary texts (descriptions, short descriptions, long descriptions)
- advanced product categorization
- definition of labels
- definition of relationships between products
- media management
3) Media Management
The module enables working with externally stored media and classifying them based on their suitability for external use (for example, for use on an e-shop, website, or in a product catalog).
