Shop Sales Prices

The pricing in the POS Base extension is based on the standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, though we have prepared some basic funcionalities to help the shop employees track the changes in the prices that is essential for maintaining the correct labels on the products.

Using standard pricing tools

From the standard pricing tools in the business central mostly two tools are used:

  • customer price groups
  • customer discount groups

For each shop you can set up specific customer price group and customer discount group on your shop card.

Setting up groups on the shop card

The customer price group is used to set up the general unit prices that will be used for the products sold on your shop. If the bill is created for the Default POS Customer, this customer price group will be transfered to the bill. If you select a customer with a specific customer price group, the customer price group will be rewritten by the customer price group from the customer card.

The possibiliy to assign customer discount groups to your shops is available from the application version 1.4 and above. This group should be used to set up pricelist for default line discounts for your shop. Again if the bill is created for the default POS customer, the customer discount group set up on your shop card will be used for the bill. If you select specific customer, the customer discount group will be rewritten by the customer discount group from the customer card.

In both cases the number of groups depends on your needs. If all your shops share the same pricing, one customer price group and one customer discount group is sufficient. If each one of your shops has its own pricing policy, you should have one of each groups for every one of your shops.

Managing sales price changes

We have prepared a new page that tracks the sales prices changes for the price lists that are assigned to the customer price group that is set up on your shop card. Only the changes of unit prices are tracked.

Tracking changed prices

The shop sales price changes list is available from the menu by entering the key words "Sales Price Changes". When entering those key words two menu items will be found as shown in the following picture.
