Activating a License Key

After purchasing a license, you will receive a license key by email. This key must be activated in Business Central to unlock the purchased features.

Activation Process

1. Open the Navertica Licensing Page

Search for Navertica Licensing in Business Central using the search function (Alt+Q).

2. Click the Activate License Key Action

In the top action bar, click the Activate License Key button.

3. Enter the License Key

In the Activate License Key dialog, enter the license key you received by email.

  • The field is masked (the key is not displayed) for security reasons
  • If the license has a Company scope (per-company), the key will be activated for the current company shown in the dialog

4. Activation Confirmation

After successful activation, a confirmation message will appear. The activated key will be visible in the Active Subscriptions section on the Navertica Licensing page.

The Active Subscriptions section displays the following information for each activated license:

License Type Type of license
License Scope License scope (Environment / Company)
Status Subscription status (Active, On Trial, Paused, Past Due, Cancelled...)
Qty Purchased quantity
Customer Name Customer name
Renews At Next subscription renewal date
Ends At Subscription end date (for cancelled subscriptions)
Company Company the key is activated for (for company-scoped licenses)
Environment Name Environment name
Activated Whether a license key is activated
License Key Masked version of the license key
Sandbox Whether the license is in sandbox mode (copied environment)

Important Information

  • One key per environment/company – a license key is bound to a specific Business Central environment (and optionally company)
  • Company-scoped licenses – if the license scope is "Company", it is activated for the current company you are in at the time of activation
  • Sandbox environments – when an environment is copied to a sandbox, licenses are automatically switched to sandbox mode
  • Automatic configuration – license configuration is automatically refreshed every 24 hours

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution
Key not accepted Verify that you entered the key correctly (no leading or trailing spaces)
"Tenant conflict" error The key was already used on a different tenant. Contact support
Features still unavailable Try the Refresh License Configuration action for manual configuration refresh
