Attachments
Sales Document Phases Attachments¶
In addition to selecting a custom e-mail notification layout, it is possible to generate attachments that are sent together with the e-mail notification.
There are two types of attachments:
- Report attachments – Generated using standard Business Central report layout functionality.
- File attachments – Not generated automatically. Users upload the required file directly to the Business Central database (Media table, preview available in the FactBox).
The uploaded file is used as an immutable attachment (e.g., Terms and Conditions).
Attachments for each phase can be configured on the E-mail Notification Attachments page.
The following fields are available:

Type – Option (Report, File).
Not editable after insertion. -
Imported File – Link to download the previously uploaded file.

Attachment Name – Text.
Name of the generated attachment. -
Description – Text.
User-defined description. -
Report ID – Integer.

Report Name – Text.

Layout Name – Lookup to Report Layouts (9660, List).

Notifications, including their attachments, can be tested using the Notification Preview function.
