Actions

Actions are automated operations that are triggered automatically when a document transitions to a phase that has assigned actions.

Each document can have multiple associated actions. Actions can be assigned to a phase from the Sales Document Phases page by navigating to the Actions page.

This opens the Sales Doc. Phase Actions page for the selected phase.

The following fields are available:

  • Order – Integer.
    Defines the sequence in which assigned actions are executed.

  • Action ID – Code identifier of the action.

  • Action Name – Text[250].
    Name of the action.


Default Actions

Order Phase Management includes the following default actions:

  • ReleaseSalesDocument – Releases the document.

  • SendEmailNotification – Sends an e-mail notification to the customer.
    A standard Business Central e-mail address must be configured, and both E-mail Notification Layout and E-mail Notification Subject must be defined.

  • AutomaticReservation – Executes the standard Business Central automatic reservation function.
    Available only for Sales Orders and Transfer Orders.

  • DeleteReservations – Cancels all reservations on the document.

  • DeleteSalesDocument – Deletes the document.
    (The document will be archived if standard Business Central archiving is enabled.)

Additional actions can be added via custom extensions.
