Sales Order - Creation of Service Items and Service Contracts

Creating of Service items and Service contracts is a part of a commonwork with the Smart Service module. As standard, this process applies only for the creation of a Service Item during the posting of a Service Order. Therefore these two functions, which can be executed before posting a document, have been added. Those are: Creation of a Service Item and Creation of a Service ontract.

If we want to block the creation of a Service item, then we can use the added field, Block Creation of Service Item at the sales document line.

Creating of a Service Item

Service items will be created for the whole document, based on a pre-defined structure according to the Configurator ID field. If a Service Items Group is set so that a Service item should be created, then the component will be created as a subset to the Service item, otherwise as \"Item\".

Created Service items can be displayed on the Service Items via selecting the Tell Me Function. Click the Search Icon and enter Service Items and select the related link

In cases when we need to delete a sales order line, to which a Service item is connected, then we can disconnect this card and thereby complete the whole process. A function for disconnecting is placed on the Service Item card. Select Actions → Functions → Detach Source link.

Create a Service Contract

If we need to create a Service contract from a sales order, we can use the Tell Me function → Click the Search Icon and enter Create Service Contract and select the related link. A wizard can be launched, which will guide you through the creation of a service contract. It is recommended to use pre-set templates, which can be used to quickly create the right contract. The function allows you to create a contract, to which you can later attach a service item. If a service item does not yet exist, the field can remain empty.
