Overview

The Anvaigo EDI Extension enhances the standard EDI integration in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central by enabling automatic reservation of sales lines created from EDI documents, in the same way as when a sales line is created manually in Business Central.

The goal of the application is to ensure that the sales process for orders received via EDI results in consistent reservation behavior, based on the Reserve field setting on the sales line and the standard reservation priorities in Business Central.

Basic Information

When a sales line is entered manually in Business Central, a reservation can be created automatically depending on the value of the Reserve field. However, when sales documents are created via EDI, this mechanism is typically not triggered in a way that matches business expectations.

This extension ensures that sales lines created from EDI orders behave, after creation, in the same way as sales lines created manually in Business Central. If the Reserve field on the sales line is set to Always, the system automatically creates a reservation according to standard Business Central rules.

Scope and Limitations

  • The functionality is intended for reservations at the sales line level.
  • Reservations are created only for sales lines with Reserve = Always.
